Ashram

Hello all!!

I have changed the setting of the Blog so now you do not have to register in order to make comments.

The camp at the Ashram is almost over and it has been very nice. Waking up every day at 6am, meditating (or trying to), then having Vedanta classes, drying dishes and then going to the city to listen to classical Indian music or more lectures on Vedanta. It is nice to be inserted in the culture like this, talking to Indian people all the time and etc.

I have been reading the Baghavad Gita. It is the compilation of teaching of Krishna to Arjuna, the greatest Indian hero who had to face his cousin for the throne of what was then India. It talks about the choices you have to make in life and etc. Arjuna is comparable to Achilles of western culture., the great warrior. What is more interesting about this whole stay and reading is that all this culture is way anterior to the first western literature which, if i remember correctly, is the Iliad and the Odissey.

I wanted to upload some new pictues but the internet is so slow im gonna do it later on.

Take care, and in a very Indian style, Nasmate!!! This greeting, the Namaste, is basically the recognition that you are god just as much as I am god, so it is a worshiping of you. hahaha. Nice!
